Im looking for a new saddle and was looking for some thoughts on new things commin out. i tried the tree motion at tci. its nice. but i want to look at more than one option. right now i climb on a glide which isnt bad but its just too heavy and its time for something new. be gentle this is my first post.

yeah saw that at tci as well. i didnt like the hard leg straps. im a "larger individual" if you will and those didnt fit my legs. i dont know if the leg straps come in different sizes.

Sorry i was thinking about the new humming bird not the komet dragon fly. ill check it out. thanks

Have a look at Austria2 at Drayers homepage www.drayer.de that a good, solid, light weight, durable and with a lot of adjustment options to ensure comfort.

Nice looking harness treebear, is this made by the same guys that make the Duo, which only had the single sliding front d with the batten seat?

I guess it is the same producer. They are produced for Drayer exclusively. Quite a lot of professionals in Norway uses this harness and find it both practical and comfortable.

I currently use the first Tree Austria and it is very comfortable. It has an optional seat the clips in in seconds and suspenders with gear loops. As well it is in the same price range as the butterfly 2.

There was one at the show at the American Arborist Supply booth. They are out of PA and only a short drive. They also have a rack in there store for sitting in saddle. Might be worth the trip. I'll post a link so you can possibly try out a few of the saddles they have and possibly find what you like best. http://www.arborist.com/Results.tpl?rnd=...rtat=1#products

The Butterfly II with the Bosun seat option, is called the Dragonfly. But you can't order it online like that, you have to call Sherrill directly and order it. Excellent saddle, very comfortable. I purchased one this past spring and like it.

I bought a Master 'Classic' from Sherril's a month or so ago and think I've finally got it adjusted so that it's comfortable to both climb and work in. It took some fiddling to make it comfortable no matter what I was doing in it. The only thing I may change now is to add a bridge.

Whatever you buy, tweak the adjustments on it until its right.
