New rope dilemma

I need to get some light duty rigging rope. I was trying to decide if I should get a dedicated 1/2 in rigging rope or use my arbormaster climbing line and get a new/better climbing line?

Also, has anyone used arbormax 24 strand from Baileys? I do mostly natural crotching.

Just depends on what u consider "light" rigging. I've never used Arbormaster but if you are set on having a half inch line that is double braid I give all of my votes to samson vortex. Ive used mine in about every configuration and it just does what it's told. If your climbline is in decent shape I recommend the pink 10mm husky rope that treestuff sells as accessory cordage. It's been lights out for all my small rigging and super easy to move aloft with.

I think the double braid ropes break easier when using natural crotches because the cover and core can't share the load when they are pinched at the crotch. Use of a block is recommended.

16 strand and 12 strand solid braid, such as True Blue, would be a better choice.

I use a lot of 1/2" ropes for light rigging, but only use 3-strand for the rare times I natural crotch rig.
I currently use Arbormaster, XTC 16, Forestry Pro, XTC 12 and TreeMaster... and have used a couple of others in the past.

I'll second the pink Husky, especially if there's a lot of moving around of rigging points and stuff. Shucking rope over and over gets tiring fast. That's why I like this stuff a lot.
