New Offya Video

Certainly bad ass and well executed. Lotta hardware involved as well as set up time, though. That set up seems like something that would sit in the truck a lot, but on certain jobs you'd really crush it. and just as importantly look really slick while you did it. Cheers!

That is one of the beauties of your set up. The second line which runs through the carriage acts as your lowering line so you can let it run when needed. With a belly block on the bight of this line you can really mitigate any potential shock loading. When everything has settled down you simply lift the piece back up to the carriage and send it out to the street.

Not much wood being shown in the vid and I'm curious just how much of the larger wood you were actually able to skyline out to the road?

I would also highly recommend looking into running a few guy lines with some tail-holds (rope or haywire) when using this method to move bigger weights.

We rigged the wood down traditionally and moved it out with a loader. At that point there was a little more room to work and once I lost my high point the high line setup was not the best choice for the rest of the project

I understand that your rigging spar had to be worked down using a different method, but with this tree being multi-leadered were you able to skyline the wood from all the other leaders out to the street?

I've seen a couple different videos where these have shown up, but can't find it for sale anywhere. Rough idea on price or where to fund one?
The smaller version is now available for pre-order. Supposed to be out spring-summer of this year. Not terribly bad at $700. To buy all new hardware to build this setup would cost near that and not be as compact.
