New helmet

in relation to face shields, does the kask face shield fit as close as the Petzl vizir? I like having a shield, but my issue with petzl's is that the nose cutout would always be pressed up against the side of my nose and closing off part of my airway. It bothered me enough that I quit putting it down except when the wind would pick up and I would get a face full of sawdust. The problem isn't necessarily the fault of Petzl, but the fact that my nose is a little crooked from being broken. For the alveo that I have, I preferred the mesh shield over the plastic just due to the way that it sits away from the face.

On the Zenith when I use the face shield, I have to rock the helemt a bit further back on my head to keep the shield from hitting my nose. If I have the mike from the sena out, that keeps the shield just the right place as well. In short, unless you got a serious honker or you should be able to position it with minimal issues.

I will get one Tony and try it.....
Swing,

You will like it. The ability to snap it on and off in two seconds is priceless. Sometimes regular ol’ safety glasses are the best option.

I keep mine wrapped up in a extra buff when not in use and have minimal scratching in almost a year of use. I am pretty anal about it through as I hate scratched eye pro.

I noticed in shopping around that Treestuff, Wesspur and Sherilltree are all either out of stock or have very low quantities of the Protos. Is this a manufacturer issue with quality of the helmet preventing them from being sold, or dealers didn't get a shipment? Maybe they are just selling faster than they can be ordered in? I am thinking I may want to try one of them after reading a lot of the reviews on treestuff.

I love my Alveo vent. I always swap bigger earmuffs onto my lids cuz I'm running big saws a lot.
HATED the protoss power ranger tron helmet...ya ya, sue me.
Kask sat to shallow on my head and both it and the protos seemed to funnel sweat down onto my forehead and into my eyes.
