New England Ropes\' Escalator

Page 21 of Tree Services magazine shows an add for the above rope but their website has no mention of it. Anybody who's been to a recent trade show get a look at this stuff? It looks like a response to the SRT movement, maybe not as bouncy as tachyon but also a fall absorbent static line?

The best part of the magazine ad I saw was they call it an accent line, is that a combination of ascent and access?

Ya tree beaver I read that site about a month ago, but I haven't heard any experiences with it yet, but ill be watching!

That's odd, the site was showing no replies to the original post when I put that link up. Now they're all there.

They had it on display at the TCI Expo in 2010 and said it would be out in a few months. I left a few voicemails with Bill at NE ropes this summer but never heard back. I guess it's finally coming out.

Last I talked to luke at treestuff.com he said it would available in mid December! I should find out more this week, how did it feel?

The jacket is similar to KM111 from what I remember, but the rope is much lighter and has a lot less stretch. I took a few footlock runs a rope which I believe is a prototype for this one and it was very static, similar to 10mm HTP (snakebite). It didn't seem to get stiff like the Sterling HTP rope does after its loaded and 11mm is easier to grip.

I have been using this rope for a while, and absolutely love it! Super light, minimal stretch, and doesn't get wiry. It has a great hand feel, and is my go to line for FL. Think of it as KMIII on steroids!

Thanks Bull, good to hear from someone who uses it. I'm planning on using it with the wrench and all the qualities you listed sound great
