New crane

That's good place to practice! What's the worst that can happen? It's already on the house! No, just kidding, that takes a lot of skill to get those out of there w/o doing more damage! Good job Allmark! How did the crane feel? I'm realy excited for you bro'! Next time get a photo of you with a big cheese on your grill! (I know I was grinnin' from ear to ear the first few job's I used mine on. There's still alot of jobs now where that truck makes me grin.)
 
Oh trust ne Im getting carpo tunnell in the jaw from the smiling. It feels great and the flex really doesnt concern me. The turn is the only function I have to work more on feathering.

What's the horizontal reach?

Would love to see some more still pictures of the truck, side view for example.

What I saw looks really sharp.

It is an Effer 585 6s6s.127' verticle 100' sided reach. I will post more close ups of tool boxes and the crane tonight.
 
That bed is pretty trick! I like the pruner boxes & especialy the pop up stakes! (I had to build a skirt to get the pruner storage)

Ill get some more up in the next couple days. I just got in from hauling logs after the tree td today(9:00p). That will help pay for the crane too.
 
Mike, more big logs in the back of your truck again. The big ones, were they honey locust? Small one tulip poplar?
 
Good eye Xman, The lg. ones were honey loc. The small one Black walnut! How's your rig going? (That's gonna' be sweet!) Hey Jamin, The dbh wasn't huge but that job was fun. (tower crane working overhead was equiped with a mini fridge & a gas bbq grill! no bull!) I'll try to post more stuff sometime.
