New Chipper for Christmas!

Either you're short, or the 90's are way bigger than I remember them!

Nice buy!

Both!

I'm short 5'-8". And the chipper is bigger. I said the same thing, "This thing is bigger than I remembered."

Not only am I impressed with the performance, but the little things Bandit thinks of to make it easy to work with.

That's great. I want one too. Does the yoke lift on that one?

Yes the yoke does lift on this unit. It has 4 positions to choose from. I haven't changed the yoke yet, but it looks easy. I didn't know this feature was on it, but for those who don't know about it; it allows you to change the feed wheel higher or lower. Higher if you are going to be chipping lots of larger stuff (easier for feed wheel to grab the logs) and lower (easier for feed wheel to grab small stuff).

Nice machine!I think it will serve you well.I've had my Bandit going on 10 years.Other than some hydraulic trouble it has been an AWESOME machine!

Well, a year has nearly gone by. I did have a freak part go out on me, but it was covered by the warantee. The radiator (a 3rd party part, not Bandit's) failed. It may have been a faulty weld or something.

I did have a hydraulic valve control go out too. (That was a Bandit part). But, they handled it quickly. They sent the correct part the first time, I installed it, and it was okay.

No other problems.

I love this thing for aspen tree removals. With the slinder excurrent growth pattern, I can take a 25' long section and stuff it right in. The auto feed takes 'er in perfectly.

The chip quality is nice too. There is a yard which the city of Longmont is letting tree contractors dump, and I swear I have the nicest looking chips there.

It tells me the chipper is running well (and I change my knives often).

I am surprised with how well it starts in cold weather too.

Very nice!!! Looks like a nice chipper, espically with the CAT diesel engine. Mind me asking what a chipper like that goes for, just a general price range. I'm trying to compare it to my Dad's chiiper he bought about 15 years ago, just to see how much price went up. He paid around $30,000 for a Marbark model 17 w/ John Deere 125hp engine. Thanks and if you don't want to put it on here, can you PM me. Thanks
