Y would my old chuck and duck make this awful grinding sound when I engage it? It only does it only for a minute than it goes away! Thanks richard

How are your bearings lubed? Oil Bath or grease? Has this been maintained?

Not sure , hasn't been looked at in years ! I'm just a climber starting my own company and this mechanic stuff is all new!

Clutch, release bearing, drum bearings. Any of the above. How old is the machine and what make. Oh, and welcome to being in business.
