My Pine tree lost a limb

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hfpWoa855g

I woke up to find this little hanger in my tree. Its sad. This pine has been climbed by many people over the years young and old. I couldnt afford a crane and didnt want to smash the cable box/2 mail boxes/irrigation box...etc so I rigged it. Pretensioned as much as I could with my 5-1 before I climbed out on it. I am always a bit spooked working hangers like this but fortunaltly I had a great tie in and all worked out in the end.

Had to work over the street and didnt want to drop the 2 bigger peices...alone again. 1st time using the verticle speedline. What a great technique. Man that would have came in handy so many times in the past. Better late than never.

I'd love to help you but I have no clue about that species or environment.

Helluva a good job rigging it down solo. I think the first post of yours I ever read was about rigging solo.

Nice work yet again Jesse. I don't see how you do all that stuff solo.

As for keeping it, I'm in the same boat as Blinky. No idea on the species or environment. But I'd say keep it. Is it just the street side you are concerned about, or the whole tree?
