For about a year I've been tossing the idea of getting more cats. But, my older cat, Scourge, is nine. How is she going to get on with another older cat? Would it be better to get two littermates?

Last week I found out about a litter if kittens that had a domestic mother and feral pop. They were with people from the beginning which was a huge plus.

Now I have two calico kittens along with the gray hissing dragon cat, Scourge. Every day Scourge is softening to them. Inside a month I know that da tree of 'em are going to be raukus!

Bandit and Patch are the girl's names.

Cute, Tom!

I have found that cats acclimate to new housemates within about two weeks. Because those kittens are so little, Scourge will probably take a more "hands off" role, but will step in to discipline when necessary.

Congrats Tom. They're a cute pair. I'm sure Scourge will lay down the ground rules. They'll be getting along fine before you know it.

PUClimber - That sucks. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Offering an olive branch is usually a sign of peace.

Today I brought in an elm branch to study, I think it has leaf suckers or something. The branch was laying on the floor and both kittens were stalking it. Bandit was doing a crab-walk sideways, Patch was on the other side and Scourge had it trapped!

All three of them were in looking at it. Right now Scourge is eating the leaves...hmmm...will she stack the brush too?

I'm sneezing at the thought. Only good for a few hours around cats. But I'm an animal lover (especially dogs) so you have my sympathy PUClimber.
