MS192

To be honest, I would recommend you save yourself some hassle and get a new carb from your dealer. I paid less than $50 and if you have the saw for 3 years working good then you havent spent much to get it going good.

Do you think I should go through the dealer it is probably going to be more expensive. I have found many online. They all look like the right carb. and they say the fit 192 the part number is C1Q-S257 which could be a new and in proved version. Or it could be one that fits the 200's. Money is tight I have had allot of problems with my Husqavarna snow blower Biggs motor on it with less than 30 hours on it and some thing is wrong with the valve guide's I had to order a new head. It keeps bending the valve push rods. It is a 14527E bought it because their was a north easter coming in and it was the only store open. Looked good on the floor. But it is under built. Working on Mods for that. I normally go through the dealer that way I know what I am getting. I will get a carb. either way and let you know how it runs. I know allot of guy are having the same problem.

It’s a common misconception that dealers are more expensive. You can call and ask for the price without having to order it. All dealers are different though.

I only recommend it because carbs can be a real pain to trouble shoot. Based on the problems you describe is how we come up with the solution, but it’s possible that we are all wrong. 2 cycles are a system of components that work together and diagnosing them can be difficult.

That’s unfortunate about your blower, I would think that would be warranty issues you are having?

Yes I thought Briggs would stand behind their motor since I found out about the head problem from an Ariens Service Manager. I would have been looking at the cam shaft for problems but Briggs. wouldn't do a thing. Warranty is only 2 yrs. I am on my 3 yr. Hours don't matter. It was hard to find a head from a dealer they were not stocking them any more. That is why I called Briggs. and they said they had a few and then they would be back ordered. I was surprised the service manager gave up that info I guess he knew I wasn't going to bring to a shop but I will do business with that company when I get my next blower which will be sooner rather than latter. I think I will just order the carb. from my Stihl dealer they are good people. And after looking at some of the carbs. online they aren't even made by Zama so who knows what you will get and how the saw will run. I try to stay with OEM parts when it comes to important things. Thanks again for your help. I will let you know how it goes. I have to get my hip replaced hard working on one leg. Not bad if I am climbing the saddle holds things in place. But when I am wrenching on something its bad. I get more work from my neighbor if looks at a piece of equipment it breaks. Doesn't want to pay my going rate so we barter which is fine by me.
Thanks again!
Ted
