kind of seems like a waste of money. I understand the history and it is a beautiful oak tree but the money they used to dig it up, equipment, etc they could have planted about 300 decent size trees!
It is a very impressive move though!

You know that Oak tree was so excited to finally move.

It turns out that the project was funded by private donations.
