Mondaze

thankyou Steve, twas a great track find and while the work wasn't the most extreme I felt it was a good marry up.
the next two vids will be something more substantial and there is another three day takedown just approved two climbing one crane day so more in the pipeline.

That's a busy Monday. Pretty typical? Awesome work as always... looked like a good move taking that big top on the Euc. What the hell is that sling monster in the parting shot?

Hey John, naw pretty easy day, tower put me up on the first job and brought me back down.
didn't even touch a medium saw till the final fell that afternoon. nice cruisey one except for getting a bag where I wanted on the Euc. so typical when there is a audience watching.
the sling monster was a Falcore the dragon statue at the echunga primary school , you know the one the never ending story movie. anyways the eyes freaked me a little when I saw the photo so liked it.
yes that top and trunk needed a bit of reduction to nicely play into the block without damaging that leaner which ironically is under protection until the local council decides it can go.
cheers Ben.

Never ending story. ..I thought that statue looked familiar. That's awesome. Nice vid as usual. You must spend as much time on the computer editing as you do in the trees. Well done.

Yes, we'll done mate. You know, I don't think you need all the artsy effects. You got solid skills and you do real jobs. Would be good to hear some narration in the mix. Need more Australians on treebuzz.

My guess is Ben does the artsy part for his own enjoyment. He's become the guy whose videos I look for. I would really like some narrative as well but I will be appreciative either way. Augusts vids are solid as well but so much effects going on I feel like I'm having a psychedelic flash back.
I really miss your input and vids Reg. don't know why so many guys vanished but it sucks

Yeah its not a criticism. It just doesn't hurt to mix thing up once in a while....speaking from experience. There's a few guys out there that I won't even watch now....because it's more or less the same thing every time. At least Ben gets some tough jobs. I respect that. But if he was in the line-up at the gas station, I wouldn't know him from Adam. Unless he had the black gloves on.

thank you very much N.e.Tree , I do not watch TV any more and the editing is a hobby now its either that or repairing/mending something or splicing while watching Doco's on the Atlantic ocean or some such to while away the time till the next climb. :)

G'day Reg :hola:
yep def could use some more sons of Oz on here, Graeme puts in a line every now and then but overall I over represent my country on this site by far.
How long did you spend working here? did you make it over to Adelaide?

long and short of it is that I do not have a face for movies or a voice for radio,
not so much that if I was your dog that you would shave its arse and teach it to walk backwards but as a 40 something man child with a receding hairline I do look at those flowing locks of yours with a little envy and after nearly thirty years of smoking I am still waiting for my voice to develop beyond a spotty teens croaky squeak.

I genuinely enjoy your narratives, as I posted to you earlier in the year my Da was a miner from Yorkshire and listening to you is very comforting on that level.
the Artsy stuff is me passing the time per se like a bloke with a train set who keeps expanding his "collection" ,
I am tinkering with the program to see what I can learn as I go along, that and Me and Bix are having a friendly comp on who can make the best effects for shits and giggles.
I do understand what you mean , the work speaks for its self without the wub wub.
The Respect is beyond mutual , a tip of the cap and a nod to you in passing good sir :tanguero:
Never intended the vids to be about me at the start it was cause no bugger would ever believe me when I told them about this huge pine tree I removed, very much along the lines of your statement about once the tree is gone you are the last person to see that sight ever again,
they are a bit of video blog , bit of sharing with the other arb folks around the globe not a serious business promo tool or some such.
My arborealla is starting to play up do I contact you direct or through the point of purchase?

I do take requests from time to time so will look out for a job that I can be relaxed with the edit.
main down side is I crap on while climbing for most of the day, kinda like verbal diarrhoea can't seem to shut up for more than 5 minutes without making a joke singing a ditty or passing observation on the tree etc.
but having lived over here you should have a pretty cool view about us mad ex colonial types :D

Hi Flex hows the biz?
High praise my friend I may get a ego after all this malarkey
should have another vid up by saturday all going to plan and yes I do enjoy the pissfarting side of editing.
def agree about the strange drop off of people at this site suspiciously after I started my hurt feeling report data sheet thread.
Hmmm probably just me being paranoid or cause it is peak work period in the northern hemisphere and not middle of winter with all those snow bound cabin fevered climbers passing the time, any ho thats what I hope it is and not cause of me.
would like to hear from some folk though.
Ben

I never made to to Adelaide. Just Sydney and Brisbane. 92-93....and then went back for a shorter spell some years later.

In hindsight I had a great time....but should have made more if it. All work and not much play. But i recollect Australians in general having quite a unique and humorous outlook on work, and life. Which is why I made the initial comment.

It's not about what you look or sound like, just your take on a given situation.

I have my hair long to hide from the sun, and certain people here around town. It's like an instant curtain. Most other times it's just a nuisance. We are the same age actually.

There was another guy used to post from Sydney, called chopper. He was funny, but then he just stopped posting.

Yeah I probably come across as being a bit flippant but mean no offence or disrespect,
just my nature to play the fool.
I will endevour to whip up a less entertainment style vid for a more narrative one but no guarantees on the voice over
speaking of guarantees - my arborealla ?

have you seen this one a homage to Jonny Quick humour in tree work?
closest I have come to speaking directly on camera so far .
