Master Rigger Certification

I was just reading through some sites on rigging both in the industrial construction trades and the marine industry and I noticed that they have certification programs for rigging qualifications from apprentice to master.

I have not seen anything like this in our industry but think it is a great idea, just as is becoming a certified arborist. I have seen some arborists who say they are Master Riggers though.

I was wondering if we do have a program through the ISA or NAA will certify someone as a Master Rigger that I am not aware of?

As far as I know, there are no arborist Master Riggers. Someone may have a cert from another field and practice arboriculture. There's also the probability that a person is claiming to be a MC out of thin air. No credentials.

There are a couple of companies in town who claim to have Consulting Arborists, with caps. They may have arborists who consult but I don't believe any of them are certified through ASCA. Using titles wrongly thins the standard.
