If anyone is looking at replacing a winch cable, check this stuff out. Need a reason why to choose it over your beloved amsteel?
It is a tighter construction, so there is no picking.
it is cheaper
It seems to be more durable. we skid logs across whatever with our winch line and it is showing less wear than amsteel would in a comparable amount of time.
Its cheaper.
I never had a problem with amsteel, we just rolled the dice on something different after talking to some Marlow reps at TCIA and finding out they have an office in Plymouth, close by.
George at Shelter Tree has it for a solid price.
If your in the market for a new line, check it out. even if just to prove me wrong
