Monday after injuring himself while cutting down a tree limb, fire officials said.
The man, an employee with a tree service company, was taking down a tree limb near 25 Brook Drive about 2:05 p.m. when the limb snapped and hit him, according to fire officials.
He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford before being flown to Beth Israel Hospital with serious injuries, fire officials said.
No additional information on the victim was available Monday evening.
The accident is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, according to fire officials.
