We are about to launch Lukesfloor, a new marketplace for lightly used arborist goods.

Basically you can turn your used gear into treestuff bucks by selling it on the lukesfloor section of TreeStuff.

Check this out, every item will have a degrading price, where the price drops each day until the item sold. Don't wait too long though or someone else will nab that deal.

Here is an early screenshot.LukesFloorExample.webp

That's a great idea, I've got a few things to unload. It's there any option to trade at all or strictly buy/sell? Also, do we ship these things to Treestuff?

Nick we need a little more clarification. Here is what I think it is, please correct it if I am wrong. Andi could be way off, lol.

Seller post stuff on Lukesfloor
Buyer pays Lukesfloor for stuff
Lukesfloor sends us Treestuff Bucks or possibly puts credit on our accounts
Seller ships stuff to Buyer

Just guessing here Nick.

Brilliant!!!! As awesome as tree stuff is I bet they take nothing and make their money by you spending it with them again. You'll receive a credit and not cash!

Frank (monkeylove) has it pretty much described above, except we wait for the buyer to receive it before we pay the seller. This way Lukesfloor offers protection for both parties.

BRT & Tc262 - we will collect 3% to cover our credit card fees (simply subtracted from the gift card). This way there are no restrictions on how you can use the gift card, ie with sales and promotions.

N.E Tree - All of the items are shipped between the buyer and the seller, no need to ship it to TreeStuff

The seller sets the starting price and a minimum price.

Then you set the fuse, which is an amount that the price will decrease daily. It either sells, or the listing is removed when it hits the minimum.

I've been a vehement Treestuff supporter my whole climbing career. Never so much as considered other options. [Other than treebay of course, @Mark Chisholm ;)]

But, it seems as of late, Treestuff is under the ol "steal from everyone and call it Treestuff" spell. Starting to seem familiar.. What was that other company again? Sher.. Sh.. S.. Something. I dunno.

Every forum I've ever been one has had a marketplace of some kind, this isn't stealing any new idea. Trading is a pillar of human civilization, almost as old as prostitution (no, wait, that's also trading...)

Steal from who??

Look man, don't get your knickers ina knot all the time. I adore Treestuff. All my purchases are with you. But common..
Rings, "thunder" slings, the AFB, to name a few.. From the "Treestuff" innovation lab? Seems like they were innovated somewheres else, by others, first and foremost. That is all. Sorry for the abbrassive tone of my post. Wasn't intended. More of a playful poke.
