Looks like you weren't being paid by the pound of debris on that one. Nice work but wouldn't a silky have been a bit faster and easier on a bunch of the smaller cuts?

I am probably gonna get canned on this not being an oak man but I was told it was a black oak imported fromEngland around 1850.

Too true, common names are very regional. I was thinking Q. robur, but then there are so many damn species of oak it could be anything.I'm not sure but they may call the English Oaks black oaks....
