Looking for a change of pace

Howdy,

I am reaching out to you to offer my nearly 15 years of experience as an ISA Certified, TRAQ, Climber, and Business Owner (consisting of 6 FT employees year-round work, generating $750k in revenue). I am available and capable of traveling, with (a 2016 Topkick 6500) and (2018 BC1500) chipper and (a 2017 mini skid and SC60tx stump cutter) or just I'd be happy just to bring general equipment/tools/ saws, GRCS needed to perform various tree services, especially those concerning clean up and emergency response.
I am comfortable climbing big and small trees, single or double, spikes or no spikes, prunes or removals. Hazardous trees as well, unfortunatelyn I can also write arborist reports covering all aspects from land development projects to single homeowners who just need one city permit.

If you need some help with sales, I have plenty of experience and would be happy to fit in as needed regarding any sales.

Ideally, I would like to touch base with a company that would like to hire me on an ad hoc basis to help them keep up with cleanup and emergency requests following the destruction of Ian so that families and businesses can go back to normal as quickly as possible.

I have an open mind, feel free to reach out with any questions.

I take cash, payroll checks, or if necessary I can work on 1099, assuming your state is relatively simple for me to register my business as a foreign entity/contractor.

Take care,

Aaron

Nice resume. Sounds like you got it all together and should have no time to spare.
Just curious, why are you looking for that "change of pace?''
Just burned out and want things simplified?

I’m interested in learning more, and talking, if you’re interested in moving to southeast Pennsylvania. We are a small company, similar in size to what you’ve been doing doing, looking for someone to join the team. If PA sounds interesting to you, let’s talk a bit.

I went down to Florida and was able to help with a bit of cleanup. Mainly I ended up plugging into temporary roof repairs and weatherization to help people with their basic living condition.

I was beginning to gain some steam but had a number of things call me back home. I am glad to share the few contacts I made while I was down there.

It sounded like pulling up rootwads and dealing with material on the ground is the phase of things right at the moment. My assessment is it will be a while before people are thinking about tree work (beyond stuff sitting on a house), as the amount of mess is pretty massive.
There were a good amount of crews in the area throwing huge numbers around to take care of people.
There are a lot of palm trees leaning around at angles; I don't know if these are evolved to recover from this.

There are piles of hung up trees in areas, some big trees with lots of breakage and hangers.
The amount of loss in terms of peoples possessions due to water is pretty huge, and there seems to be hesitation to move forward from many people who are waiting to see what their budget is from the insurance.

Feel free to reach out if you would like any more context about what it looks like down there.

True,
Michael

Hi Craig,

Oh I would say its a myriad of events and I don't like making excuses, for lack of better words. I've always been curious in other opportunities. Door is open, without sacrificing other responsibilities. Most of the states have smaller/easier trees, argh, I mean different trees . Ha, sounds like early retirement.

I wouldn't say burned out, but simplifying things has been my song and dance lately. Would be nice to find more efficient ways to make an income. Not saying this is the ticket, but you never know what ya find along the way and i wont find anything different if I don't look. Personally, owning a business has been great, but even before covid I couldn't find quality folks to start a second crew, as hard I tried. Which kinda kills the buzz for me because it kinda puts a cap on things, end of game, punny intended, or at least level up and go find a new boss. (pun+fun=punny.) Ha, crack myself up.
