Hello! Are there any guys that are a whiz with these booms? I have a couple questions.
1. When I raise the upper boom with some speed I can feel a vibration in the boom. By process of elimination, I'm pretty sure it clears up when I spray the main cable with lube. So, I'm guessing what I am feeling is the cable compressing/decompressing from the added tension of the cylinder pulling/relaxing. Or, it's seating into the groove tighter. Any thoughts on this?
2. When I open the inspection panel where the upper boom cylinder attaches to the cable I can see the cylinder spin one way as it comes out and the opposite way when it goes back in. Again, I'm assuming it's the wire rope (cable) stretching or twisting when it tightens. Any thoughts on this?
