I have to admit, i hate that isc twister biner! The shape and nose angle is just wrong for me, i dont wanna struggle with my lanyard...

Maybe I'm uncoordinated or just finicky, but I don't like any swivel things on my lanyard. It is fumbly to me. This is also one of the reasons I don't own a wire core lanyard. They all come with swivel snaps.

3 point snaps are easier to work with the snowmobile mittens I have to climb with up here in MN in single digits or less.
Haven’t tried the down-locking rock-o’s in the cold. I use one on my base anchor for the direction the system might brush on the mechanism while loading. Could be the ticket.

According to the poll, the opinions are pretty even. I have carabiners on mine but honestly I've never used snaps yet. I'd think they'd be easier to operate since there is no twisting involved. I've been thinking about getting one to try and may just do that, but it seems like carabiners are more versatile since you can use them for pretty much anything. At least that was my thinking when I set up my lanyard.

I've never had a problem with a full on jam, but as it ages, it isn't cleanly snapping shut every time. That is why I am replacing it. If others are having problems, perhaps I'll go with the carabiner.

I'm going to use a swivel snap or swivel biner, so not a lot of options (especially for the triple action snap...whole 'nother discussion). I just splice it onto the lanyard...
What type and size rope do you use that you can splice for a lanyard?

My current one is Arbormaster...but that was a pain to splice, so I'm going to switch and try Tachyon for this one (was supposed to be a winter project...better get on that, we are getting close to spring).
