You young whippersnappers (and be glad you are; gettin' old isn't fun, and that senior discount isn't nearly what it's made out to be) won't remember this, but Art Linkletter had a show called, "Kid's Say the Darndest Things". It was always funny, often hillarious, sometimes embarassing (for the parents), and always entertaining.
Well, I was fortunate enough to have these two experiences with my next door neighbor's grandchildren while tree climbing and I think you'll see these reinforce that kid's say the darnedess things.
I posted this once before under "What about bears and mountain lions" but I'm afraid the title was too misleading to express the true content.
You'll notice in the first one, we came very close to an accident: the little guy is very active and hard to keep up with and the moment I turned my attention to help his cousin shoot the line, he starts fiddling with the line - if she had shot....
Also, I realize he didn't have safety glasses on. I didn't have anything that would come close to fitting him. I have over 700 shots through the slingshot and have not had the first problem with it. But, yeah, eye protection should be a must. That won't happen again!
