kask visor

I used Rain X..it worked.

It might not be the best product though. Who knows what might happen if the Rain X got mixed into your sweat and made it into your eyes?!?!

I didn't think of that when I put it on mine...once, and only once. After that, I only used solutions that are meant for eyeglasses.

I've never used it on a kask visor, but I have been told it will turn the plastic on a motorcycle visor yellow, and so it's bad to use it for that. That being said, I don't know if the visor on a kask and a visor on a motorcycle helmet are made of the same type of plastic.

Good point about getting it in one's eyes, I hadn't thought of that!

RainX will discolor most plastics actually. My suggestion would be to check your local specialized sporting goods stores. Something that it made for ski googles, snow mobile helmets etc might work and be safer. There are many wax based products made for those recreations that work well on plastic and keep the water drops beading and rolling off. Assuming that was the basis of your question.

I recently just got one of those invisible shields for my cell phone screen. I'm not sure if water will bead on that, but it would be cool if they made something like that for visors. Apparently it's scratch proof...

I've used rain-ex anti-fog on my safety glasses regularly without an issue. Actually helps a bit when it is really humid. I put it on a soft rag or paper towel, clean the lenses with it then dry it off. Between that and using a Halo skull cap I rarely have any issues with sweat on my glasses. Also the anti fog doesn't seem to discolor.
