I'm curious about the visor. Are they rated for a high velosity impact, yet?
If not, then they need to look in to the thickness of hockey helmet visors. I'm sort of waiting for a Kask (Stein) helmet until everything is taken care of.
I think I would rather use some safety glasses anyways, I'm be thinking that no matter how low profile the visor is; it is still gonna get hung up in stuff...and i think getting brush outta my peltors on my vertex is bad enuff...lol, My new Kask? no muff, no shield
I wear plugs when I wear it, keepin' it clean and uncluttered.

non issue for me so far, but the damn muffs get caught on everything. I like the ear protection muffs provide though.
I like the look of the Kask, but what about the polystyrene foam inside. Does it trap heat? Or is it all in my head (no pun intended)
I had the Petzl Meteor III and returned it eventually because I thought it might be cooking my brain when the temps. get extreme down here...
I like mine. I wear glasses with the shield(and still get dust some times) but the glasses not the shield will get fogged sometimes. I tried without glasses but I constantly felt I was missing something plus if the shield gets dirty you can flip it up and are still protecte. My only issue is wth headset for communication fitting on them so far. We have worked a couple hot days with it and It was more comfortable than other helmets. On the cold days I have used a hard hat liner or a benie winter hat. Both worked well without the helmet sliding around at all even though they were not attatched to the helmet.

Are you not able to use your head sets at all? Or, is it not comfortable? I use my head sets on crane jobs. I'd feel naked without realtime communication with crane jobs.
