You know how you're left with more cover than core when making eye to eye friction cords of 8mm beeline or Samson ultratech? I haven't tried it yet but I thought a good solution would be to make some locking brummel eye to eye of Allgear's tech chord and insert in a beeline cover. I know it wouldn't be the same animal but you never know it might be a beast

Wish I could help here but I don't know enough about rope construction to make a decent suggestion.

It would work. Basically the all gears rope was designed for use as a friction hitch. It has been applied in other facets that haven't worked out so well. All your strength comes from the core on bee line the cover is basically protecting it from picking.
