Ummm yeah, these things are the bomb! A must have for SRT rope walking. I'd be lost without mine. And it stows away "oh so nice" when not in use.

I'm sure it could but the payback with DdRT is half what it is with SRT. It'd be like climbing a tall stairway with tiny 6" steps. Of course there are times it might help but I'd think just a foot ascender on one foot or footlocking would be just as useful in that scenario.

Could this be used DDRT in conjunction with a foot ascender and my hitch climber pulley?
Yes it can. As stated, for must of us, it would not be very efficient but it is very useful for new climbers or weak climbers.
Another thing that makes it unfavorable: When you are next to the trunk and you normally will get an advantage SRT with a toe touch, if you do it DdRT, each step your toes are sliding down and against the tree, which is irritating and de-stabilizing.

I seen your video on these a while back but unfortunately ordered a haas three days earlier. Looks like a really nice product at a unbeatable price. Wish I would have seen it earlier!

The foot loop stays on your foot. Because the bungee is so stretchable it can be left short and at the top where the small biner clips to the harness or hook the ascender on your harness. It is like having a 17 inch piece of cordage hanging. I don't recommend rolling up.
I show this in a video.

The foot loop always stays on my boot. But what I do when I know I'm not going back up is I unclip the small carabiner (the bungee attached) from my hitch climber pulley, and unclip the carabiner from the foot loop and store it 'upside down'. I clip the foot carabiner to an accessory loop on my harness. This would be a more permanent storage method as it would take longer to get it back on rope whereas Richards storage method is somewhat out of the way yet quick to instal back on rope

If you'd still like a picture I can take one tonight..

This is a well-traveled SAKA. First attempt to get it to me ended in Montreal, where Canada Customs deemed it "undeliverable" and returned it to Richard in Georgia.

You had the right house number, street, town, province, and country, so that zip code / postal code issue really shoulda been a moot point!
My opinion of postal workers being inbred relatives of Newman on Seinfeld has been reinforced.

Speaking of Croll, I had the good pleasure Tuesday to spend several hours with YoYoMan as he refitted my croll into a SAKA and enjoyed a climb to test it out. Just an FYI for those of you thinking about one, they are the bomb! The stiffness and the double length of bungee mades a world of difference in the operation over a less substansial design. And just to the left of Richard's demo wall is a very well stocked gear wall that would make many climbers envious. I thought I was becoming a serious gear head, but I can't begin to compete with that.;)
