John’s Custom Saws build nightmare, what would you do?

He quickly responded saying he’s been in the hospital but saw is complete and had been shipped. He said “it’s on the house” for the trouble. I asked him to please send a tracking number as soon as possible. I never got a tracking number though.

I'd also ask for a selfie in a hospital gown.

Update: He did finally send the saw back. I received it on the exact day I told him I would report it stolen if I didn't have it by then. The saw was bone stock untouched just as I sent it 10 months ago. He was extremely irritated with me, claiming I was just trying to get something for free (even though I never asked for any discount or for him to do It for free.) I tried to get him to send me the invoice multiple times and I never received it. So long story short, I got my saw back so I'm happy about that but I am very disappointed in the experience.

Did you have serial number from the saw you sent? Puzzling the flat out statement that it was done and ready to ship, but it was completely untouched. Was it done and he sent it to somebody else and then sent you another? Or was that just a flat out lie?

Yes I did! That was the first thing I checked when I got it back. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t getting someone else’s saw. But the serial numbers matched my original invoice from my local dealer
