Job vs Storm chasing

Would you blow off your full time job with a very good benifits package and decent money, to go storm chasing?

What if in 2 weeks you could take your 2 week paid vaction and have another 1-2 weeks leave without pay and still keep your job?

Not if I had a family...Which I do but if you can go for a few weeks and head back itll be another one of those things you put on your life time resume

If you can keep your job - and not front-up a risky sum of your savings, I'd say go for it.

There's a good chance it may take a long,long time to get paid from coastal storm work now. That's the risk aside from physical and logistical pressures.

I guess that came across the wrong way. I'm not going storm chasing. It's more of a hypothetical question. I personally wouldn't blow off a job.

I would go and take my vacation and a possible leave of absence though.

I was just wondering where other people stood in the idea.

vacations are nice...use them wisely. I would keep the job even though the fast (well earned) money cold be tempting...
