ITCC updates?

WOW what a tight field, good scores there by everyone, not too many zeros on that scoresheet. Mark C. may not have ended up on top but the dude can still climb a tree - 20 points in Speed Climb, smokin'!

Congrats all on a great comp.

Must have been some unique trees down there. Seems as though the "locals" dominated the masters field.

Lemon Scented Gums (citriodora)....Scott & Joe would have spent a lot of time in this species. For those not familiar with them they have long slender spreading branches, not many internal branches, and can be slippery!

I didn't get to see much climbing, flat out at our trade exhibit for 3 long days.

It was great to meet and help out so many climbers from around the world though, met quite a few buzzers and names i'd heard about, you all rock! Thanks everyone for their support!

Huge props also to Rich Hattier for working our stand for 2 days of flat out Anchor Bridge System & Rope Wrench demos!

I used to climb lemon gums in CA. Nasty climbs! Some had no limbs for 60 ft. When you finally hit your tip you had to worry about stem breakage and bark was powdered and smooth. At least they smell good. CONGRATS TO ALL CLIMBERS. :)

I'm a douche! The work climb was in an LSG, and maybe some of the other prelims, and the Climbers Corner was, but when packing up and leaving today i saw the the big main tree in the park was i think a Sydney Blue Gum (saligna)... It's been a big week!

Re the masters challenge tree, probably the first time that cockatoo damage in forks resulting in kino flow was the primary issue with the tree...Yes very smooth "bark"; sooty mold added to it; looked like sun damage, until i gave it the spit-and-rub test, duh...
