It’s been 29 years today, since John Lennon was murdered in New York City.

Today, Dec. 8, marks the 29th anniversary of the death of John Lennon. The former Beatle was shot by Mark David Chapman outside of his New York apartment building, "The Dakota".

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news?

Also, PBS is showing a band called "RAIN" this month, They are a Beatles tribute band. They blew me away,

All the music clips are the band RAIN, and not recordings.

For us old timers and the events we've witnessed...the world changed after JFK, MLK, RFK, and Lennon were murdered - and it can never be the same again. Wonder why the ones who show promise of greatness and opportunity are killed early in their influence while the destructive and evil ones prosper so well their effect and rule over us and any hope there might be?

I was 15 years old when John died, this had a major effect in my life, musical that is, but also life in general. Because not 4 months later March 30, 1981, just 69 days into office the assassination attempt occurred on President Reagan. I had just now turned 16(March,5th), and was starting to see the world for what it really was.
This in turn caused my parents to receive some gray hairs in their life, due to my rebelling.

Lennon had already made an incredible difference to the music scene by the time he died, the Kennedys were a bunch of crooks, personally preferred Malcolm X to MLK.
