Interesting article on graziers on stressed trees

This is my kind of clickbait.

The wife and I chased a possum out of our under-construction addition last night at 2am. It was a young buddy and it was adorable. It has come up the locust post on our deck and that’s how it got back down. Steady, graceful climbers, tell you what.

There is still one in a hollow column holding up my garage… haven’t had the heart to remove it until I make a house for it as storms have reduced the available trees around the house, unless I make the necessary 20 mile drive to rehome it elsewhere (neighbours have done so with the possum returning within days even after a 10 mile drive..)

Maybe I’m just too soft, I tend to let the wild things be. Hence the reason a family of groundhogs live under my kitchen. They’re generally quiet, except early Spring, when the cats go crazy running around the kitchen looking at the floor.

Possums urinate and stink - If it gets bad I just pour some gas on the floor and he disappears for a few days, otherwise it can get a bit musty...
