In memory of

When/ how did the guy from timbertech pass? I've seen him online a few times

According to news stories, it appears he was killed in April while working out of a bucket truck. He was struck by a falling limb. I didn't know him but it sounds like he was a real stand up guy. RIP.

I was in the same county when the bucket truck incident happened. I didn't realise it was another buzzer as the casuility. Not like it really matters, all life is precious. I wish the best for his family and friends.

There was some major safety and production issues with the project he was on if the incident I am speaking of was our guy. In some parts of California the bark beetle project is very poorly managed and young climbers lives are being put at risk.

I was on the bucket the day before as a favor. I was also let go from the project(then rehired) for criticising safety procedures and management. I was forced to sign a non disclosure. The day before, my boss said,"someone is going to die o this project". We lost two 21 year old climbers that week.

From the article, it sounds like he may have struck a branch with the boom, and it slid down and hit him. Wonder where ground personnel were not to warn him?

Because of many issues most the experienced people for lack of Adequate pay and stupid regulations in place to protect the prime more then the climbers left the project or were removed. Leaving some good young climbers and groundsmen with out that someone with years of experience to help out and keep an eye on things.
