So far I like it! Low stretch, although not as low as Sterling HTP, but way less than KMIII and all other climbing lines. The rope has almost no memory, meaning that when a knot is tied you don't get any weird kinking after, like with some other static lines, and after it is weighted it doesn't become stiff and difficult to coil.
My two climbs on it have been one on the RW and one with just mechanical grabs. Mechanical devices flow through it effortlessly and the pantin starts to tail itself 3 feet off the ground. Hitches run very nicely on it, but at 10mm it is too skinny in my opinion to be used for a working SRT line, my hands were very fatigued after one climb.
Priced at about $1.21 per foot makes this rope a bit too expensive for my blood when buying 300 feet of rope.
One concern that I have with the 'core' of this rope is the Aramid fibers in the middle, but it does have HMPE and Polyolefin in the core as well, so perhaps the Aramid isn't that big of a deal. The interlocking core design is a stroke of genius!
When I ran a hitch over it there was ZERO sheath slippage. I anticipate this will be a long lasting rope because of this fact. I hope more manufacturers will begin to experiment with this technology.
Things that I think would make it better: hi vis colours! larger diameter! A sexy slice from Teufelberger! Lowered cost!
Bottom line: It is worth a look. But my go to static line will still be HTP.
