If money were no object...

I too love the fog. Its super foggy, raining, and in the mid 40's here right now.. I have been into taking ice baths lately but I just didn't feel like it this morning. Instead I went bushwakin' for 2 hours way down in the holler with one of my dogs, but did it without a shirt on..By the time I got home I was fucking freezing!
You hardcore as fuck.

People innocently walking through through forest in CA: "Dang, Sasquatch is pretty wiry and a lot smaller than I expected, but he looks pretty scary!"
Also on the cold tolerance hardcore tip, this is a must watch:

I'd build the modest house and shop of my dreams on the property I own, still be the boss but hire a good crew and pay them well, pay someone to do ALL of the paperwork for me, and pick and choose which jobs I cut and climb on. Then become more involved in the community and travel more, instead of working so damn much.

I certainly wouldn’t work, you’re just taking money from people who do need it. Show some imagination!

I would start cycling again, generally get myself in better shape, get some more dogs, a couple to look after my house and dogs whilst me and my wife travel the world first class.

How rich are you?
Me is off the scale.
When you get asked what you want, and all you want is Unimog fully set up for work and acomodation.
Factory price is 250.000€.
Me rich is having a great family that climbs trees, a steady business, lots of training/education, all latest gear, good work environment, dream pursuit.
Very rich people get bored, disconnect from reality.

The question can be interpreted two ways:

1. You have, or will receive, more money than you will ever need.

2. Money is non-existent, à la some futuristic Star Trek-esque society.

I prefer the second. In which case I would spend my time with friends, family, and in the never-ending pursuit of knowledge.

Yah, I mean the video and question was sort of still in the realm of tree work, so I interpreted it as if I could do tree work without worrying about money.

Now if I had just stupid amounts of money, like tens or hundreds of billions of dollars, obviously I'd start a foundation to help solve the worlds problems, and do serious long-term investigations into corruption and injustice around the world. The kind of things that matter to the lives of millions or billions of people, but journalists simply don't have the resources or safety to dig into. Hell, I'd probably need a private army to protect myself if I did that, but with basically unlimited money, sure, I'll take a private army...

The post-scarcity Star Trek world sounds easier and more peaceful though.

I imagine there will be another squatch sighting video posted on youtube soon. Legendary.

Ice baths! I'm a fan too, you should start a thread.

Re the OP, I read an article about 65 y o longtime climber and climbing shoe designer, Heinz Mariacher, and he said- "My future? A simple life: stroll around in the forest and mountains with no destination, watch clouds in the blue sky, admire the Eagle's flight, cut firewood for winter."

That's pretty much up my alley.

I would like to say I would keep doing what I do on a daily basis as I really enjoy it, but seems like every time any one get that kind of money with out working for it they crash and burn and destroy what they were longing for
