If interested, please inquire. I will not respond on this thread and I don't read your posts. You can figure it out...

It would be good, for you, if you had a passion for high angle work and rock climbing and paragliding and even fishing and big eastern kayaking waters, too. Probably best that you are not married and don't have kids so you can travel light. Oh, yeah, you may, no, you'll definitely want to contact landon painter before contacting me, he'd be a good referral. Actually, that will be a requirement. Anyone that gets to the second phase of this interview will be required to contact him before I'll agree to go any further. And, if you meet him in person and you see any of his gear laying around...anyway, forewarned is forearmed!

You:

Self employed or wanna be

Can work as a team

Can be a leader as well as a facilitator

Can focus on how to make it work and not on why it won't

Natural talent

Comfortable with your abilities

High angle experience

Passionate about the forest

Want to “see" the World

Want to create new experiences instead of just going to work

Want to make more than a decent living

If you can't read between the lines then it's best you don't respond.

I, definitely, am not looking for an employee. I'm looking for partners in a co-op.

You should look at my first ever thread on buzz way back in 2003. Sound familiar?

And you ask why I am so cagey........

I’m not sure exactly when I can start. But I can do the work. I have a lot of gear from treestuff. I do a lot of removals and I prune. What are the benefits of working? I’m used to making between 20 and 30 an hour including weekends. Is that doable? I only have one gaff right now some of my stuff was stolen. Do you have husky or stihl? Get back to my quickly with an address. I have a car but can’t travel and will fly to see how things are. Do you do removals with rigging or bucket trucks? Thanks

I can’t tell if this is a troll post or not

Edit : I thought this was southsounds thread. Nevermind :baaa:

Had you caught me four years ago I’d say yea no problem, I mean I guess I could always leave my wife and kid for months/years at a time. But prior to treework I was all rock climbing competitions and then coaching teams for competition, as well as facilitating and training.
But this is by far one of the most cryptic job posts I’ve seen ever. Hope it’ll help narrow down your search. And not so much that no one gets through the first phase of your interview

This is a legit offer. I've known RAW since 1986. After Bob Felix he's the first 'name' i knew in the profession

If someone wants to learn and earn take the time and pursue this. Of course the logistics have to work out. I've known people who would live near a school they attended and commute...drive or fly...home every weekend/holiday to complete an education. That's a huge investment in their family and themselves.

Thanks, again, Tom. You and Mark are my protecting angels. You know I mean well. When I got the "bug" to teach myself everything I could learn I travelled the world to "apprentice" to anyone that would put up with me. I worked for food and I still will to this day. They need to check my webpage. You got something interesting going on? I'm there, but you at least gotta feed me and set me up with a place (perferably with a view) to level off and plug in. Anyway, I got my first really interesting candidate...an arbortress! Related story: Kay Buseman, from the original German rat pack crew (Peter Strynol, Uli Distel, Knot Foppe, Bettis Strasser, Christina Engel, et al.), Is accompanying his girlfriend, who is the Italian climbing champion, to cheer her on at this year's ITCC in Knoxville. We'll all get together at one of the most amazing mountain towns in the whole wide world, my town, to set up a practice course, for her, before we head off to Tennessee. Anyone interested should contact me. If you have good intentions, you'll be welcomed.

PS Oh, yeah, and Ken Palmer. I've forgotten all about you...kinda.

RAW is the real deal! I wish this offer was on the table ten years ago. I would have jumped at the chance, marriage/family now rules. I’m a modest/mediocre tree guy, and feel RAW could take you to the next level.
