Hybrid Cougar Saddle

Tell me what ya think.I used a KOMET bridge system with 5" Dyneema slings to connect to the leg straps. And on the back of the leg straps I used some stretch cord off my hiking backpack.Having the stretch cord connected in 2 spots on the leg straps helps a lot in keeping them positioned correctly. Not pictured is the DMM ring that goes on the bridge.

I think you will find that the "spacers" between the shackle and the leg straps are unnecessary. If you run the leg strap straight to the ring you will be held more from the back of your thighs compared to hanging from your waist.

Update on my saddle.I tried this out yesterday and really like how it performs.I took off the 2 straps and buckles that hold the bridge on to save weight and replaced them with 12" weaver loop runners that go directly to DMM rings. The bridge is a 15" buckingham glide spectra web bridge.

I'm not too sure about that configuration, looks like you have removed the attachment that was rated for life support and placed support on a piece of the saddle that was designed to keep it from falling off your waist. I guess I'm not an expert but it look like you may put a load an part of the saddle that was not designed to handle it.
