Husky 3120XP rev limiter malfunction

So the rev limiter on my 3120XP on my Alpine Magnum stump cutter seems to be malfunctioning. It will run good for about a minute then will start kicking in at lower rpms. Has anybody else experienced this?
Do I need to replace the ignition module, replace the ignition module and flywheel or just clean and adjust it?

I would bet that it is the ignition module going bad. From my experiences on saws when the saw starts jump around on rpm its the ignition module. Thats assuming everything else is in order

So I replaced the ignition module and flywheel. It made no change.
Yesterday I pulled out the carb & the fuel line tore off at the end of the nipple. I'm thinking there is a possibility that it had a crack that was causing air bubbles to enter the carb. So I'm buying a carb kit and new fuel line. I guess I won't know if it was the fuel line or the carb.
