In Austin there are Northers and Southers. The river/downtown is sorta the divider. that makes me a Souther...it was plus 20 overnight and about 40 now.

Keep chucking wood on the fire!

We have a cottage in the mountains north of the city. I am here most of the winter and work in my woodshop during the winter. I love cold. The snow is getting pretty deep around here. I've shoveled out a dozen times already. I'll be getting up into the trees soon too. Always lots of work to around here.

Dude, I work for a city, what do you think?

I was kind of excluding you from the thread. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.
Besides, we all know what you city guys do when it's to cold to work

I don't get winters nearly as bad as you "northerners."

I'm not nearly as crazy as some of you guys either. I won't work if the high temp isn't going to be above 20°.

Even so, I would like to have my own shop. I wouldn't mind milling wood indoors a couple months every winter.

Anyone mill wood in the winter?

-36 last night and never got above -9 all day. Plus, what else is new, the wind picked up...

But I don't go outside in the winter unless it involves ice fishing. This pic was from last sunday as I was driving out on Lake of the Woods.
