Hilarious Hong Kong Rigging

It worked, they had two control ropes on it and the technique worked, all they need to do now is sharpen their saws, thanks for posting, always good to see people working through a problem.

I love the 2 guys in the background just standing there...didn't even flinch. Hong Kong lol...that name didn't happen to come from their nationality did it?

I'm pretty sure the video was taken in Hong Kong. ...Right?

I love watching other people do tree work, whether they are good or bad, its always entertaining. And these guys fall into the "we have no clue how to do this" category.

Yup, Sai Kung, New Territories to be precise.

Arboriculture is so new here, if this had been 5 years ago it would have been a bunch of old dudes with bamboo scaffolding taking the tree down. Now there's a lot of guys with the right tools (save decent chainsaws) but no clue how to use them.

One thing that's worth pointing out is that with how little control they had over that piece, they didn't block or cone off a section of road. That's the main road into Sai Kung with buses and trucks flying by, so they got REAL lucky it didn't go that direction.
