Help with boots

Im looking for a stiff climbing boot with an amazing amount of cushion> I climb on the Asolo's 80's or 85's and today as I was walking I could hear the impact of each step vibrate up my body...Any suggestions

i own a pair of lowa boots, they are by far the most comfortable boot ive ever worn, especially with spikes, and ive used the "logger climbing boots" before, they dont even come close to the comfort the lowas offerer.

only problem is, ive had them about six months, they are holding up well but i havae a worn spot in the side of my boot from footlocking, no worries though, nothing a little bit of shoe goo cant fix and i know ill get another 6 months out of them

as far as your vibration problems go, buy some nice cushy insoles. if your in a tight budget and want a quick fix, take the insole out of your boot and trace it ontop of a piece of cardboard then cut the cardboard out and place it underneith the existing insole. it sounds hokie but a homeless friend of mine used to do it to keep the cold from the concrete from seeping directly into his shoes, until i gave him a pair of "retired" climbing boots, ive done it before and it worked great but it has to be replaced every couple of weeks

he's talking about Lowa boots, not Iowa boots.

Go to an REI store, ask them if you can try on their rigid sole crampon-compatible mountaineering boots. that's what these guys are talking about.
