Help me ID this old sling please

I found this sling in my grandfathers old shop. Everything in there is pretty old, he was a welder, machanic, machinest, rigger.
There's no tags on this sling, its an endless sewn loop...it does not apper to be tubular.
The second pic is a close up of the sewn section. Its all together about 8-10ft long.
The color is like a tannish brown like technora, kevlar.
I have no idea what its made of or what it's for, and I can't find anything that looks like it on the internet.

Is it a continuous loop or eye to eye? Usually those are just nylon straps like toe sraps at the hardware store

It's a common crane/lifting sling... either nylon or polyester. The color is pretty normal for one that's seen some dirt, grease and ultraviolet light. They discolor like that. It was probably yellow, originally.
