Grove Hill logger\'s death ruled an accident

GROVE HILL, Ala. -- The death of a 54-year-old Grove Hill logger killed by a falling limb this week has been ruled an accident, officials with the Clarke County Sheriff's Office said today.
Garner "Bugg" Martin Jr., a logger with Hare Timber Co., died Tuesday when a 16-foot-long limb fell from 30 feet and struck him in the head, said Sgt. Steve Carlisle.
Martin, a lifelong logger, had just cut down a tree when the it struck the nearby limb, causing it to fall down, Carlisle said.
Survivors include his mother, Lardella Pugh Martin; and one sister, Lillian Adams, both of Grove Hill; and one brother, McArthur Martin of Mayo, Fla.
