Green laser pointer....(FRESCO)

I purchased one of those $90 laser pointers from FRESCO less than a year ago. With very limited use over the last year, it was time to replace the batteries. When I attempted to, the button that triggers the laser fell out. I know the protocol, call; write; e-mail.... well, I've done all of that but I haven't received ANY response. The funny thing is I did receive a solicitation e-mail talking about their dedication to customer satisfaction, after my attempt(s) to contact them regarding my issue. I've purchased many items from them in the past with 100% satisfaction.

I bought a green laser pointer from dealextreme.com in Hong Kong, shipping was free, they take PayPal, I have ordered lots of stuff from them, incredible prices, fast shipping. Also check out the LED flashlites.

I know what you mean. They're lots of fun to goof around with. I swear when I go out at nigh it looks like I can touch the stars with mine. I have to show a little prudence. They just busted a car load of inbreed idiots for bouncing one off an inbound plane in Cleveland. Then they bounced it off either a police or a news helicopter and then a life flight helo. This thing has been great with customers and even when doing rigging setups with my partner. One thing that does surprise me is that there isn't more of a "wow" factor with the customers. I walked a couple multi tree jobs last week. One was with an amish guy and the other was an 81 year old woman. Neither one batted an eye when I pulled out the laser. Kind of surprised me. Maybe I should buy a big enough one to make some leaves smoke or knock a red squirrel out of a tree. That would be impressive.

It is only 5mW. You can get a 10 or 15mW for the same price from Wicked Lasers.

I believe that the <5mW are the only ones legal in the US. That's why all of the 5mW or greater are shipped from HK, etc. I can't find any hard reference for this though. Who would regulate it? DOE, FCC, DOJ?

I beleive Fresco is currently moving to a new location, so maybe thats why they havent responded in a timely fashion. We all know what moving is like. Call them directly and talk to Rob, he'll take care of you.

I heard somewhere in Hopkins. To a more suitable location, better storefront I'd imagine. Last time they moved it was because the company was sold to a new owner, now the new owner wants better digs.

I just bought a 50mw green one from deal-extreme for 45$. took a little while to come but it seems to work very well. it's super bright, you don't want to look at the dot if you shine it on something close. it burns your skin pretty quick too.

I bought a green 15mW from wickedlasers. It's an amazing tool. Burns right through the daylight.
