GRCS, used but not very much.

I sold my Wraptor to buy a GRCS. I do miss the Wraptor, but I would miss the GRCS more. As I get older I would consider a Wraptor again but I would keep the GRCS. A small bucket or forestry truck is really what would work for my particular business model. Bigger jobs I always hire people better than me and with the equipment I don't have.
I let younger, stronger better equipped guys do the big heavy removal stuff. I just want something to get my sorry butt up a tree without needing an oxygen bottle and mask waiting at my TIP. O2 IS supplied at geezers, right?

Yes I do sell Wraptors and really try not to promote them in forums like this as it seems conceited to me. However as I stated I who own both devices have never been able to fathom why people would buy a GRCS before a Wraptor. As many here have stated it gets used a couple times a year. Maybe I'm just lazier than your average bear.

Imo title of this thread says it all

Mine to, I specialize in large removals which is why the Wraptor is so invaluable to me, or truth be told was. Since owning a crane it has become less important. I try to run a very lean operation, for years I only had one employee. I would Wraptor up a big tree with my saw ,rope and block and hit my TIP ready to roll, after I put so much shit on the ground my groundy couldn't get to the portawrap anymore I would come down and get on the wheel loader and help clean up, rinse repeat. I'm not trying to promote the Wraptor as I can't even keep up with current orders, just as I said ,never have understood buying one before other.

Now if you really want to up your game get a crane, mine trippled my income and believe it or not we still sometimes work with just the 2 of us, my ex-groundy is now the climber and I run the crane. I have a part time guy who helps on big jobs.

My prime focus is on production and for my operation the Wraptor increased our productivity way more than our GRCS.

One of the best things I bought was the wraptor. When you get a major pruning job or just raising the crowns up or snagging test dead top, the wraptor is a head turner and is always talked about. I wouldn't mind owning a grcs just to own it but ide rather keep my eyes open for a crane

Not enough big trees around me to justify a Wraptor. Always damage and use for a compact, heavy lifting piece like the GRCS....either way, thanks all and Merry Christmas!

I can't even justify buying a SAKA in this southeastern canopy... love to have a Raptor if I had extra $, or took a trip to the rainforest...

Well. Looking to buy a bigger piece of equipment, like a house. Would like to sell this, then buy another one later on. Would sure help with the house deal. Any interest? Let's talk price!

Change that tag at the beginning of the thread. And edit your OP so that guys don't have to read for two pages to see that you're trying to move it again.

We have one. I was definitely going to check it out though. I can't justify 2k for a second one.

Don't you sell them? Most often you can get the job done without a Wraptor.....not the case without a GRCS. Buying one allows you do to the job you would have to pass on or bring a crane in. Plus, most companies have bucket trucks or track lift.
I have a bucket truck, doesn't do much for trees over 150 feet tall! Or all the ones a truck can't get to!
