Rant...or Rave...?

Rave...I have a few weeks on Gordon's (Surveyor's) lanyard adjuster and I absolutely love it. Couldn't live without it. It is just so easy to advance or release. Worth every bit of $130. beans.

Rave on! Glad you like it. Are you using it with KM III or another rope?

Like I said on another thread I am running Velocity Cool 11 mm. It slipped a bit when i used it on a weight machine in my garage but when the added friction of being around bark, it is just fine. Might add that this line had some lowering and some trees pulled over with it. I am not as fussy as most obviously. Line is a little dis similar to out of the box is what I am saying.

Me and your device are friends for life.

Mike, I have a proto in hand that is dimensionally exactly the same as the BOLA, but has a larger rope capacity (o.51 between the friction pins and 0.57 between the side plates)
I do not have an HTP to test it with, but it works on my 1/2 Yale Fire XTP and on my swollen Tachyon, in fact when fully weighted on my old Tachyon it will SRT. I tried it also on my Cougar and it releases so sweetly DdRT when fully weighted, by releasing the bottom arm only. The only problem is this proto was the last of my BOLA material
and the pivot holes I drilled on the SS arms are a bit oversize because I was experimenting, so the arms are sloppy side to side on this proto. Stay tuned.

Mike, I received your HTP just now, Thank you. I have been trying it with the wider BOLA, while it does grip and release, the course cover makes it not very smooth tending slack. two handed tending on either side of the BOLA is OK, but not ideal. I would recommend Cougar with this new wider BOLA.
