Are you a valuable groundman, but aren't getting the hours right now, or haven't been paid what you are worth? Please contact us.

Here is the text from the monster.com ad just posted:

Positions open immediately.

Looking for good hard worker that is also smart and honest.

Job involves assisting a tree climber from the ground, using ropes and lowering devices. Using chain saws, chippers, driving trucks, possibly stump grinder.

Very physical work.

Very rewarding and enjoyable if you like working outside and with a skilled team of people that can accomplish amazing things.

Pay rate, likely $10 to 25 depending on skill level and how fast you learn.

No experience necessary, but must be intelligent and have a driver's license.

We are an established Tree Care company, we stay very busy even through the winter.

So, if you currently are working for a tree company and aren't getting the hours you need and/or aren't treated right or paid right; please check us out.

We pay very well, one of the highest in the area. You will get 30 to 40 hours a week in the winter. Summer, usually 38 to 45 hours a week.

Overtime paid, holidays paid, paid vacation weeks after your first year, lunch time is paid for, etc.

We pay and treat our employees very well, but we only keep on those people that are truly hard workers and care about the company doing well.

Learn about us at our website: http://www.arborx.com/

Or just type in the search words 'arbor-x' in google and I'm sure you will read things about us.

We work mainly in Harford County, Maryland. Some work in Cecil and Baltimore Counties.

We have workers that commute from far distances just to work for us and in this nice area of Harford county.

Please don't apply if you don't show up to work on time, or lie and steal or are slow to learn things. You will be just wasting your and our time.

How to apply: respond directly to this ad on Monster, and/or send a letter or resume to the company's e-mail address (this address can be found by going to our website www.arborx.com and click on the link that says "CONTACT US". Sorry, we are not writing it here, because we would get spam). You may also call the office and leave a message, but please, most importantly, DO send some kind of e-mail. Office is 410 838-2999.

This is a great company to work for. David hired me at the beginning of the summer of 2005 and if I had not changed careers (high school science teacher) I would still be working for him today. As it is I have such a great relationship with the company I am staying on part time to help give estimates on Saturdays and even work with them during time off of school.
David has a very safe and professional attitude that is not only noticed by our customers, but also by other tree services. We are constantly being complimented about our attention to detail and concern for our customer's wishes, and the proof of this is in the fact that even during this time of economic crisis our office is still being flooded with calls and instead of laying people off we are out looking to give more people jobs.
He is not the type of boss to simply bid a job and send the crew out to work on it blind. He is right there working in the trenches with all of the employees cleaning up tools, chipping brush, and helping with the raking and loading of wood, even after a long day of climbing. He respects the hard work that the groundmen put in and is more than willing to compensate anyone for their time and skill, or even help the right person develop the skills needed to do the job.
In the almost four years I worked for him he was more than generous with dividing up the profits for the jobs among the employees for getting a job done ahead of schedule as well as sharing any tips given by customers, and being more than generous with bonuses around Christmas time. In fact his generosity was one of the reasons I chose to leave the company when I did. I could have stayed on until January or February after I got my bonus, but knowing how much he really tries to help out his employees financially I could not take advantage of his generosity.
I could go on for hours and pages about what a great company this is to work for, and I could give you reason after reason of why you shouldn't pass up an opportunity like this but the fact is if anyone is in this area and is in need of a job I would highly recommend looking at this company. David has a strong sense of values, morality, and a strong work ethic that sets Arbor-X above the rest.

Hey thank you Nathan!

I know you've gotten on the buzz plenty of times over the years to read and see pictures, but you've never posted before.

Thank you for taking the time to sign up and post.

Nathan is one of the most honest guys I know. Honesty is a big big deal to me.

He took on a teaching job because he truly wants to help people (it's not about the money to him)and helping people should be more rewarding to him than helping trees.

Thanks again Nate, it will probably help in the recruiting to hear testimony like this from a former groundman.
