Getting the stink out of work clothes?

Very basic question, but I'm really not sure what will work best. I soaked my shoes in rubbing alcohol last week (lol I know, internet advice) and its already coming back. My shirts would reek on their own after a day, and its starting to last through the wash.

Maybe put stuff in the freezer weekly to kill the ecology?

Haven't you seen the commercials? ..... Freebreeze .....
Just kidding ..... But I haven't had an odor issue after a wash. I'll check the bottle next to the washer later to see what my girl is using.

Ammonia in the wash works well. Also for bath towels. I have not tried anything on the boots, but I found that hydrogen peroxide on the helmet straps works very well.

Yea...we haven't had new shirts in ages...finally going to get some made soon, but it's been rough smelling like a bacterial frat party as soon as you pull on the jersey.
Oxy, soda, vinegar, borax, peroxide....gasoline???

Good thread, I've been wondering the same thing lately. My shirts smell bad coming out of the wash. The boots though are fine, get a boot dryer that just blows air. No heat. I put the boots on that every night and I have no problems there. Will be trying the borax first since I have some. Think I'll hold off on the gasoline for now.

Mine are haneous now. The girlfriend is requiring new laundry regulations. I'm going to try baking soda next load or borax or both
I think of she found work shirts in the freezer her head would explode.

Based on my experience baking soda just absorbs odor for a few hours, it won't really clean. I rubbed it all over the inside and outside of my work shoes, even under the insoles, for weeks with no significant, long term improvement.

It got to the point where someone couldn't sit twelve feet away from me lol

I haven't used it for tree gear (mainly cause it doesn't stink as bad) But "SINK THE STINK" works wonders on scuba gear and should work beautifully on smelly clothes. Most of the time it was a dip and let it air dry, but for really funky stuff soak for an hour or so

A old school washing machine... I had to get rid of my new age self sensing one for this very reason... found one that rinses twice and actually fills it up to wash them my new age one would only put about a gallon of water in. And get a boot drier and dry every night...

I dry my boots every night with the cool, forced air, Peet Dryer and get good results from that. We use a number of the products named above as well as Eucalyptus Oil in the washing machine at times.

Also my wife and I tend to stay away from certain synthetics next to our body. Cotton tee shirts don't hold onto body odor for me like synthetic does.

Y'all need to shower yo!

Cotton and if you have a newer style washer, remember to do the cleaning cycles, if not taking apart the drum to hand clean the damn thing.

I hate my clothes washer.
