When i watched the pictures the first time i really liked the way the clouds and blue sky interacted -
Depends on the tree/situation about the TIP and Rigging Point. Once i set the TIP in this tree is was just easier to not go back up there until it was time to remove that spar. It's hard to see from the camera angle but two of the three spars were sort of umbrella-like and it was nice to have a higher TIP for the first few cuts.
Last page of the book - like that! In trees I'd always like to know the ending before the start - though half the fun/challenge is planning and then working the plan and adjusting as necessary
Last piece of foliage? Satisfaction, like when you drop a 3-pointer in your opponent's face
In some situations the tree will be stronger with the branches on as they absorb some of the dynamic forces. Other times taking the weight off will make for a better rigging set up.

I know what you mean, its like the stem is cantilevered? The stem seems to have more sway or wobble when limbs are all lopped off.
Personnally I like any extra weight off. Reduction of variables in risky trees for me.

Very nice work and great little vid to go with it. Still camera or camcorder? Edited from raw footage or taken like that? Nice technique.

Thanks! Did it with a little digital camera/still footage and then used Picasa to make the stop action/motion then used windows movie maker to clean it up. Simple and cheap
