I'm working on making an adjustable friction saver, and I'm looking for options for splicing a prussik loop with a small ring around it. The easiest way for me to do this would of course be to tie a knot, followed by making two eye splices through the same ring. The downside to two eyes is that the prussik will take up twice as much of the inner area of the ring.
Therefore, I see the best solution as an end-for-end splice, creating a single loop of cord through the ring. I've never done an EfE splice, and I don't feel like I've seen many on prussik cords either. Is splicing a loop of prussik cord the best option for me here? Will it definitely be strong enough in this configuration to be used for life support? Another strategy I should consider? Tips and tricks?
