Ha Ha....good old sweaty moose balls...them sound tasty
I'll bet if I cooked some moose balls (sweaty of course) until they browned. Moved them from the center of the pot, put some curry in there and heated it till it became aromatic, filled the pot with potatoes, added water and adobo......Every mutherf*cker in this bitch would be Andrew Zimmern.

I am not sure if knowing all the names will make me any less confused, but it is a nice touch. My name is Eric. I go by Arlo because that is the abbreviation for the scientific name of the red tree vole (Arborimus longicaudus) the baddest little rodent on the planet. They live in the conifers here on the west coast. The highest tree vole nest I have ever found was at 308' in a Doug fir that was 311' tall.

I knew y'all liked to get high on the west coast, but damn 308'! That's getting up there!

It is very chill but has it challenges....but it is my home and I like the culture food and way of life.....
Haven't been to Barbados.......yet. Got family from Aruba, Curacao, Suriname and Puerto Rico. I've visited Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Dominican Republic, Grand Turk, St.Thomas, Bahamas, Nicaragua, Belize etc. It's only a matter of time bruddah before I'm knockin' at ye door!

The percentage of Canuckians in here is astounding. I know even 'swing' is technically one.
I have no idea why I'm Frax. I wanted a tree name and that's the first one I thought of.
Funny story. Chip didn't realize I was a girl for some while after I first got on FB even though my name is in my signature.
It's been fun over the years matching up Buzzers with FB friends or in real life. I've actually met a large number of Buzzers since I joined here in 2010.
Last thing this fun post brings up for me is that it's been far too long since I've seen Airplane.

How you liking NC now? I have traveled that state extensively I lived in Goldsboro for sometime and thoroughly enjoyed Wilmington.

Seriously big trees and so many species. Probably the best climate of any place I've ever lived. The summer is the only hard time, and it's only a couple months that it's really hot. Honestly, I could not hope to practice and gain experience with the kinds of skills we use routinely here back home.
I'd say an average tie in is 70 to 90 feet. Back home I probably only got higher than 40 feet a few times a year. Of course that's not all tree work is about. Just different skills needed here to work in the trees.
I miss Calgary a lot too. Miss the crew I worked with. We had so much fun.
Right now we're working on a two day job speedlining a large pine over a garage to land the pieces down slope in the bush. Could do it in one long day but that's the other thing about NC. It's really hot and humid, so we're taking it slow.

I plan on moving to NC also before winter sets in ..... hopefully. Looking to locate a little south of Gaston lake area. My girl wants to live on the beach and I want property in the country. Time will tell .....

I couldn't agree more about size and variety. It has really benefited me working here in Wyoming, people say "I have a huge tree". T
I think to myself often "prob not". I hated the heat though it kinda wrecked the state for me. I truly enjoy Wyoming's summer.
